Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Maria Marin, a private individual working under the name Maria Marin Design. For anything related to your data, write to hello@mariamarindesign.ro.

What data I collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, and what you tell me about your project.
• Emails you send me directly: your address and whatever you choose to include.
• Technical data: when you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically records your IP address, browser and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Why and on what legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and, if you wish, prepare an offer – steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep the site secure and working – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• I do not use your data for advertising and I do not sell it to anyone.

Who processes the data for me

I use a few trusted service providers, only as far as needed:

• Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA) – delivers the contact form messages to my inbox.
• Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) – hosts the website.
• Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation) – email service for my mailbox.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of these providers are based in the USA. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, which require an adequate level of protection.

How long I keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in discussion and up to 2 years after the last message, unless we start working together. In that case, the data is kept for as long as the law requires (for example, accounting rules). Technical logs are deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short period.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It only remembers, in your browser, whether you chose day or night mode. This preference stays on your device and is not sent to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask at any time, free of charge, to:

• see what data I hold about you (right of access);
• correct or complete it;
• delete it (“right to be forgotten”);
• restrict or object to its processing;
• receive it in a portable format.

Complaints

Write to hello@mariamarindesign.ro and I will reply within one month. You can also file a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
